"As usual" we had a lovely dinner at Cesarino in Heidelberg to celebrate Cynthia's 39th birthday ...

We could get Thomas' mum over for dinner ... our "traditional" Kassler (pork meat) encased in pastry ...
... Sunday before that, we were on the last day of our local xmas market, where we enjoyed a last "Gluehwein" (hot red wine with some spices) ...
29. November: Ruth's 79th birthday ...
We were out again to celebrate her birthday ... unfortunately - due to her actual health problems - it was a bit hard for her to enjoy the evening ... we hope anyway, that we've done the right thing!

22. October: Cynthia's a granny now ...
We're very pleased to announce that Aiden Jared, a beautiful baby boy, was born to Natasha on 22 October, at 13.49. Weighing 3.981kgs and 54cm. Mummy and baby doing extremely well!!!

28. September: Vintage Car Concours Weinheim
750 years city rights of Weinheim: one celebration was a huge vintage car concours in our castle park (80 cars) ... up to 100 year old cars ... and due to the weather heaps of people ... we participated also in the category "60s" ... Great event!
26. September: Claudia's Birthday ...
Yep, she's 23 years old now ... we had a lovely celebration @ a castle at the river Rhine including her boyfriend Santino ... good food and wine!
6. September: Meeting Thomas' friend from study days, Masoud ...
After 25 (!) years, Thomas found his friend from study days again: Masoud from Iran. We had a really good lunch at a Persian restaurant in Stuttgart, met his lovely wife and kids and even went for coffee and cake at his place ... we hope, it doesn't take another 25 years before they visit us here in Weinheim!
But we forgot to take a photo (yes it happens to us ;-) ... so I've "stolen" his photo at least ;-)))
4. August: Visitors from Argentina ...
We were very happy to welcome Claudia and Carlos from Argentina! We met them on Hayman Island last year and they came by on short notice. Although only one day, we showed them Heidelberg (see picture) and drove around the Odenwald a bit. Hope to see you again soon!
4. April: Finally the Certificate arrived ...
of the Integration Course "Life in Germany", where you had to learn everything about the political system, the different states, federal parliament, ... Cynthia achieved 33/33 points!
14. March: Cynthia in the press ...
After finishing her German classes with excellent results, Cynthia got her certificate today personally from our "Buergermeister", our Mayor. A nice little ceremony, welcoming all the people from 23 different countries and congratulating them for their results!
A group photo will be in the local newspaper, but here a photo of probably the only Aussie in Weinheim with the Mayor!
