October 2nd - November 9th 2014, Cynthia's visit to Oz ...

With Tash having gone back to Australia in May, Cynthia made her way there in October for the imminent arrival of a very special little person ...

... so after leaving Frankfurt on 1st October and arriving in Brisbane on the evening of the 2nd, a long night's sleep and then her first morning in Queensland, where she enjoyed a coffee (and chat) in bed with Tash ...
... here's the beautiful bouquet of roses that Cynthia received ... compliments of Thomas (of course!!!) ...
... during her first week there, they enjoyed one of many lovely dinners together, here at Shannon's, in Coomera ...
... while in Queensland, Cynthia was taken to beautiful Hope Island, where she was able to enjoy this sunsent at the Marina ...

... they enjoyed their own "Oktoberfest" (a little touch of Germany for Cynthia ;)!!!!) ...
... here Tash at Coomera Waters, where Cynthia and she enjoyed their daily walk (and talk!!) ...
... here the path they took, that led them to ...
... the little man-made beach, where they were able to rest and cool off a little (temperatures were between 29 and 35 degrees!!!) ...
... Coomera Estate also has a Residents Club, where one can enjoy their facilities, one of which (thankfully) was a swimming pool ...
... unfortunately, on one evening Tash had slight 'fender-bender', when someone drove into the back of her car ...
... luckily no serious injuries, however, she was taken to Hospital where the baby was monitored for a few hours, just to be on the safe side ...
... last picture of Tash with baby-bump, next day, it was ...
... into the Hospital for her induction, here enjoying the 'delivery suite' facilities (it even included a spa-bath!!!) ...
... and then 9 hours after the induction began ... AJ (Aiden Jared) was born, weighing in at 3.981kls and measuring 54cms!!! ...
... one night in Hospital and then off back home ... here mum and bub ...
... and granny(!!) awaiting their lift home ...
... it didn't take AJ long to adjust to life outside mum's tummy and seemed to fall into some sort of comatose state after every meal!!! ...
... as you can see!!! ...

... gum nut AJ ...
... and a special one with his teddy, that travelled all the way from Deutschland!!! ...

... after which, Cynthia, Tash and AJ went to the Currumbin Surf Club, Cynthia's mum, Moira's favourite Surf Club on the coast, were they enjoyed a toast on 'granny'!!! ...
... on one evening towards the end of Cynthia's stay, they went out for a very nice Italian dinner ... here pictured with Sandra ...

It was great to be able to see Tash and meet Aiden Jared ... a precious little bundle of joy, which I look forward to seeing again in 2015, when hopefully Tash will move back to Deutschland. In the meantime, I have to content myself with Skyping, but I have to say, that although not in person, but it's wonderful to be able to see them both every day ...

 P. S.: Although he's called AJ here, Thomas is pretty sure, that his real name is "Otto"
