On the way to Ko Phi Phi, Thailand ...

We left Singapore on the evening of 2. April and sailed our way to Thailand ...

We were picked up at the hotel and it was breathtaking to arrive at the harbour and catch a first glimpse of that wonderful ship ... it really is one of a kind ... by the way: we were 330 passengers and 275 staff ...
... photo taken from the bus ..
At 20:00 hrs we left Singapore and set sail towards Thailand ... here Singapore in the background from the stern of the ship ... ... by the way the photo was taken from our dining table ...
... we had our first dinner at the Lido restaurant, where we could sit outside and enjoy the sea breeze together with wonderful food and wine ... for the first dinner we chose Caesar's salad with prawns for a start ... are you jealous ;-)
Next day we spent a full day on the sea, enjoying the facilities of the ship (gym, pool, bars, drinks ...) ... ... to arrive the next day at Ko Phi Phi ...
Photo shows the sunrise in Thailand at around 05:30 in the morning ... (Thomas woke up due to Cynthia's snoring ;-)
In the morning we took a tour around one of the islands with a Zodiac (fancy rubber dinghy) ... here you see the MS Europa anchored ...
... and the two of us with life jackets on the zodiac ...
In the afternoon the MS Europa moved on to another island, where the zodiacs brought us ashore to a wonderful, white sandy beach, where we enjoyed a spectacular beach barbecue ... ... here you see the traditional Thai welcome reception ...
Here you can see the buffet at the beach ... well prepared by staff ...
... the sand was soft and smooth, the water crystal clear and you could nearly touch the fish swimming around you ... ... you can see the prepared tables and the MS Europa in the background ...
Unfortunately the crew couldn't get rid of the sand at the beach, so Cynthia found out that a pool is much more comfortable ... you don't have to peel sticky sand off your arms ...
... and as you can see ... we had a hard time again ... and now we're looking forward to sailing to Burma ...
... we are very happy and grateful that we can experience this wonderful journey, that has just started ... just look at that photo: isn't it a dream?
