January 10th - 17th 2015, Skiing in Seefeld, Tirol, Austria ...

Long time no skiing ... so we thought it's time to go again ... unfortunately Carola couldn't come, but Claudia joined us in a week's skiing ...

After a good drive, we gave our skis to service, tried the pool in the hotel and started the first evening with drinks at the bar ...
... First day, Sunday, we tried to adapt to 1,200 metres and had a walk through Seefeld ... here Claudia and Thomas with matching boots ;-)
So Monday first day of skiing: didn't start too bad, the weather was alright and fortunately - school holidays were over - there weren't too many people on the pists ...
On some days the sun came out and we had lovely pists, just not enough snow. Due to the snow canons it was a bit icy, so Cynthia fell once which made her a bit insecure then ...
... but we still enjoyed it ... especially this wonderful panoramic view ... the village in the picture is Seefeld ...
Here on the last day of skiing (Thursday) the three of us with the view.
That's how we were farewelled ... photo just taken before the last run ...
Friday we used the last day to visit Innsbruck. 35 minutes by train, then we had a walk through this lovely city ... here a picture from the tower showing the famous "Golden Roof" ...
After further walking we found a building / restaurant called "Ottoburg", named after Cynthia's first grandchild ;-))) ... we had to have lunch there, which was yummy!
Last evening in the hotel we've been - as every night - at the bar doing a last photo ... here showing the "albatross", i. e. when Cynthia sits in the middle of a photo, she normally spreads her arms to the ones sitting left and right of her ;-))

So we survived another week of skiing! It's a nice place there, close to the German border, the Allgäu and the Alps ... maybe we come back with the W111 this year!
