July 17th - August 11th - Moira again in Germany
Moira, Cynthia's mum arrived from Australia ... this long flight with 80 years of age ... For four days Jared is here as well, so the house is full! ... Friday on arrival, we all went out to Diebsloch and had a nice dinner
Sunday, one day before Jared left for Australia, we all went to Frankfurt to the restaurant "Buenos Aires", an authentic Argentine restaurant, run by Freddy from Buenos Aires ... a good feeling for Moira ... sort of "being home again"ROTHENBURG o. d. T.
Cynthia and Moira enjoyed a wonderful day together visiting the old city of Rothenburg ….. a truly beautiful, medieval city - as shown in this photo …

While in Germany it was great that Moira could attend Natasha’s graduation from Realschule ….NECKAR CRUISE
On another day, Cynthia and Moira were able to enjoy a wonderful cruise from the Neckarsteinach to Heidelberg …. here leaving the Neckarsteinach (with the three castles in the background) …..

….. Moira celebrated her 80th birthday in May and as a special gift, Cynthia and Thomas gave her 3 days in Paris ….. here Moira and Cynthia on the ICE-train on the way to Paris!!!
….. upon arrival and after checking into the Hotel …. in the middle of the city ….

….. followed by a walk to the Arc de Triomphe …..

….. finishing the evening with a nightcap at our Hotel …..
….. the next day, it was up early for our Bus Tour ….. from which we enjoyed all Paris’ many wonderful sights ….. such as the Eiffel Tower ….

….. the beautiful river Seine ….
….. the Louvre (of course!) ….
….. the famous Notre Dame Church …
….. and even a touch of Oz!!! ….

… all too soon it was over, and we found ourselves back at the train station to catch the ICE back to Deutschland …. but we can all agree that our days in Paris will be unforgettable!!!!
… once back, Cynthia Tash and Moira enjoyed a lovely day together in Heidelberg ... here together!(DRESDEN / REGENSBURG)
….. as a surprise, Thomas and Cynthia decided to take Moira to Dresden ….. such a magnificent city certainly deserves a visit …. here Cynthia and Moira in front of the Frauenkirche ….
….. the visit to Dresden also coincided with Thomas’ birthday, so we celebrated the occasion at the Pulverturm ….
….. where Moira found yet another conquest ….
….. before we finished off the evening, with yet another celebratory champagne at a very nice Bar ….
….. unfortunately, the next day Thomas had to drive to Bautzen for work, which meant that Cynthia and Moira had a full day in Dresden alone …. it began with breakfast at the Hotel ….
….. and was followed by a tour of the city …. it was an English tour and as Cynthia and Moira were the only ones to turn up, it ended up being a private tour!!! …. here Moira in front of the city mural ….
….. this beautiful city, which sadly was devastated in WWII, has been lovingly restored and everywhere examples of how magnificent it must have once been ….

….. after Dresden, it was off to Regensburg, where Moira was able to meet up with Thomas’ mum, Ruth, again ….

….. the next day Moira, Cynthia and Ruth, visited the city of Regensburg ….. here we are in the Bischofshoff …. yet another great Bavarian Biergarten …. where ….
….. you guessed it …. Moira cozied up to … this time …. the organ-grinder …. this lady cannot be stopped!!!!

….. that night, we celebrated Thomas’ second birthday dinner, this time with Ruth …. on the terrace of the Restaurant, David ….

….. it was Kerwe time again in Weinheim, so we made our way into town to enjoy the atmosphere ….
….. which was great …. until a sudden downpour sent everyone looking for cover!!!!!!!Sadly, the next day was time for Moira to go back to Australia, but we hope that she enjoyed her second stay with us here in Germany, as much as we have loved having her with us ……
