Marbella ...

Next morning we arrived in Marbella, where we were greated with a superb dawn ...
We had to take the tender boats again to shore ... little bit difficult for Thomas' mum, but we managed ... here at the beginning of our guided tour ...
We went straight to the old city centre which is lovely. Unfortunately, this old centre can hardly be seen as it is surrounded by ugly modern buildings ... reminded us a bit of Surfers Paradise in Queensland ...
This is the Plaza of the Oranges ... really pretty ...
... here another photo of it ... as you can see, we were again so lucky with the weather ...
Here another picturesque colonial part of this city ...
... we saw these flower-pots hanging from this wall ... how the f... do you water them?
Here a narrow alley ... just wide enough for a wheelchair ...
Finally resting for a coffee and enjoying the sunshine ...
Then we went to Port Banus, the harbour with the yachts of the pretty, the rich and the pretty rich ... just forget it ... unbelievable how many people just move to Marbella to be part of "it" ...
Speaking of which ... here the appropriate boat ... "far too xsiv" ... at least that guy has got some humour
(for Germans: if you read xsiv as one word it sounds like "excessive")
Finally ... some of the tourists there ... Thomas just likes the picture ...
That night we had a dinner at the Dieter Mueller restaurant on the ship ... the lady holds a bottle of Australian wine (Mitchelton Shiraz from Victoria!) ...

To summarise: the old city centre is wonderful, the "fancy-pancy" part with all the rich was quite disappointing ...
