July 21th, 2006, two weeks in Melbourne ...

After the usual long flight, Thomas arrived Friday night and we started a lovely weekend together.
We practised living together in a "normal" environment and it was wonderful to experience, both of us working, but also sharing many many happy moments with each other and - as usual - going out and enjoying dinner together (here at an italian restaurant).
Cynthia even discovered the pleasure of walking to a restaurant; as a matter of fact 5 (!) within walking distance of home (and only one wasn't good) ...
We went into the city centre again, and while having a coffee ..... experienced that feeling of „déjà-vu“ visiting the first cafe we went to, back in March ....
... the Gold Coast’s wonderful beaches ...
... a couple of its many clubs ... here all four of us in one of Cynthia's favourite clubs, the Currumbin Surf Club ...
... and then out to an Italian restaurant on Saturday night.
While at the Goldcoast, we enjoyed a lunch at the idyllic winery "Ilnam" in the mountains ...
On the weekend of 28 -30 July 2006, we enjoyed a wonderful weekend in the Goldcoast, Queensland, meeting Moira, Cynthia’s mum and her husband Wray ... amazing how our two mums are so similar in their way of caring for others...
Wray’s reaction to me was a special experience for Cynthia (and Moira) ... Cynthia (quote):
"I'll never go to Queensland without Thomas again" ;-)))
We met Cynthia's colleagues for a lunch in Templestowe, where the "international" guest was very welcomed. All wished us the best for our common future.
Finally we celebrated Thomas' birthday together with our friends Monica & David, their daughter Kelly, with Natasha, Jared and his girlfriend Kirsten ...
... having dinner at the restaurant "Tender trap" in Doncaster. The meal was fantastic and the tasty wine, David selected, evaporated quickly ...
On our last Saturday, the two of us enjoyed a long walk in the Mullum Mullum park.
Sunday, our last day together, was sad as usual ... this photo was taken at Melbourne Airport ... it's just sooooo hard to say good-bye every time.

We have again experienced the absolute best days a loving couple can possibly have and we are thankful for that.
