Seeing Kuki after 38 years ...

Wednesday was an “extreme” trip down memory lane for Cynthia: after 38 (!) years she saw her childhood friend “Kuki” again … here the first hug on photo!
Her husband Carlos came as well and we met in the cafe “Cosdel” in Martinez, where Cynthia grew up.
As you can see, we had great fun that day … and started a walk through Martinez …
… where Cynthia found the pharmacy again, where she was dragged by her mother to get injections …
… here the two walking arm in arm …
… and of course we couldn’t miss out Juncal 372, the old house where Cynthia grew up …
The panaderia at the corner was open this time and – believe it or not – there was an old lady sitting in it, that remembered the two “inglesitas” (English speaking girls) that went to Australia! It was just amazing …
After some walking, we had lunch in a little restaurant, where we stayed for about three (!) hours and talked and talked …
Finally we left the restaurant … saw more of the wonderful coloured busses …
… and we found one of the cinemas, Cynthia remembered, just shut down … the owner selling every bit and piece to be able to pay his taxes … here the old audience hall …
Another memory was the San Martinez landmark, the Jockey Club … where Kuki and Cynthia used to go out
We could see “Cartoneras” at their work, collecting cardboard and selling it …
… and finally it was time to say good-bye again … both were very happy to see each other again!
