Cafe Tortoni ... Bookshop Ateneo Grand Splendid ...

Next day we drove into the city … originally to take one of the tourist bus tours … but it was totally overcrowded … here – it was 2. April, day of the Malvinas – people gathering around the memorial (Falkland war)
Juan Manuel introduced us to this wonderful old café called “Tortoni” from the 19th century …
… Here the bar area …
The waiters, dressed the “old-fashioned” style, picking up drinks and food here …
… and the four of us …
Here the café Tortoni from the outside … people actually queuing up at the entrance!
Walking back to the car, we saw this in the middle of the street … see the feet. The situation is not easy at the moment in Argentina, but you have to say, that you find this everywhere in the world.
By accident we saw this tour of old Argentine cars (brand: Siam Di Tella) on the street of the 9. July …
Next we went to a bookshop, built in an old theatre called “Ateneo Grand Splendid” … absolutely amazing!
… here another picture from the “empore” …
And a moment of Sylvia and Juan Manuel …
